Last grains in the hourglass...

Dec 30, 2005 20:13

The end of the year is just over 24 hours away now. To be honest, I am not quite sure how I feel about that.

I mean, time passes, as it always does. I love meeting new people, seeing places, doing things...living the "grand adventure." But, I just don't feel in a "party for the sake of partying" mood at the fact that a set of digits are about to change. Mayhaps if I had some amazing plans this would be different? *Shrug.*

This year, 2005, has been an amazing one. I added more places to the list of ones I have travelled. Got a lot of cool stuff. Started and wrote quite a bit of a novel that (if luck holds) I will send a prospectus of to a publisher soon. Met some awesome people (Kelsie, Josh, Diana, Mart, Laci, Mike, Jesse...the list goes on), and a living muse who rocks my socks (Sus). Read about 50 new books (yeah, yeah...you try finding the time to do everything...). Created several paintings, a couple of sculptures, a thousand photographs...general artistic cornucopia. I really need to get around to posting some of those soon, lol...

There have been bad moments too, including a former best friend treating me like shit. Dad in the hospital. Losing HootHoot. And, most recently, a young relative being seriously burned by a holiday candle and having to be confined to a weelchair for the forseeable time being. But, those are just small bits of everything.

To those who matter, my world is much better because you are part of it. Thank you for being here.

Much, much love.
