Ok, I got one of the domesticated geeks to get over here and install the LJ client, and had her upgrade my IE to version 6 while she was at it. Pretty blinkenlights! :-O
When I booted up and logged in the first time, of course, my machine blue-screened instantly. I love NT. I rebooted and it seems to be working fine now.
Still no Java from IE. I'll have to drag the geek back over and have her install the VM for me. :sigh:
