I have a story in mind by one of my friends -- could you do that if I asked her permission first? (I doubt she'd mind -- she might just ask for a copy!)

As long as I have the author's permission, I'll record anything! I'd also ask her permission to post it at amplificathon when it's done, but if that's too much to ask I can forgo that part of it.

I doubt it would be a problem. Let me link her to this comment exchange, since the story I have in mind hasn't even been written yet -- or rather, it's a chapter in an ongoing story, and it's still in progress.

Well, it seems I won the auction. Yay!

Two questions for you.

(1) I know that I could probably find the correct link myself by digging hard enough, but do you suppose you could just send me the link of exactly where to give the $10 for the donation?

(2) The fic I have in mind hasn't been written yet; do you mind an extensive waiting period? I talked with the author, and she said that she'd have no problem with you doing the fic. She didn't say "no" to posting it elsewhere, but she didn't sound all that enthusiastic about that part, so would it be ok to leave this one down? Let me know -- and in turn, I'll let you know when it's up.

And, anything else you want to talk about? I was going back through your lj archives trying to find the link for this, and you've posted a whole lot of interesting things ... but maybe link me to one or two of the posts you most want comments on, since there's enough there that I'm just not sure where to start
