Aaron and I enjoy going out to breakfast, just us, and usually to someplace we haven't tried before. We have a few favorites, but generally we like trying new places. And Portland seems to have an inexhaustable supply of different places for breakfast. I bought him a book last year "Breakfast in Bridgetown" and we've been eating our way through it ever since.
This mornings adventure was to Petite Provence on Division between 48th and 49th. YUM! The food was amazing, coffee good, service crisp and they have an amazing bakery as well. Oh my ever expanding hips! We didn't get out and moving until nearly 9:30 and they didn't have a line or a wait for a table, another pleasant surprise. If you live in Ptown, or will be visiting, I heartily recomend this place. Not for dieters, certainly NOT for anyone looking for the low carb options.
A quick stop at freddies for some veggies and marinaide, then home again. Hotel reservations for next weekend made. Yes, we're wimping out on the camping. The new plan is to set up a cozy nest under the 10'X10' awning with the bench, wood cooler, chairs and a rug and enjoy the days saturday and sunday, sleeping at a hotel and thereby avoiding some of the haul and carry at site as well as packing up a wet bale of canvas on monday AM. Whimps, ya whatever.
The rest of today has sewing and more sewing written all over it, so I'm procrastinating here. I got my sewing room a bit more organized yesterday as well as catching up on the ironing and otehr prep for our sca clothes.
A. picked up a huge London Broil on friday, into the marinaide it went this am, and later onto the BBQ it will go. Takes a while to find a commercial marinaide without High fructose corn syrup, bt I did find one. I hope it tastes good.
So for the day: ate well, putter smooch putter smooch putter, eat well. Not a bad day all told.
