On time today!!
NOTE: this WHOLE post is on Formula 1
Weather: Cloudy and with sunshine (its Shanghai, so you know, the sunshine is like hazed-up sunshine)
Track Temp: 32C
Air Temp: 21C
Random notes:
-Vettel changed his helmet, I wonder what the occasion is. Hoping for back-to-back wins maybe? Its white on the top, that's all I saw.
-It might rain tomorrow
-In Friday practice, the front two wheels of Buemi'scar fell off as he braked, and he was going at more than 200km/h I think...
(Irrelevant but I HATE HOW AUSTRALIAN TV IS SO DELAYED I WENT TO THE FORMULA 1 WEBSITE WHEN I WAS WATCHING Q2 AND I SAW WHO WAS ON POLE ASLKJDA;SD;LKA;LSJDL;AS;LD;LASD SO NOT CLIMATIC/EXCITING. eughh big spoiler..)
Anyway...
Q1- Not extremely eventful today, and I missed most of it because my dinner looked more interesting xD No big names were eliminated in the first session, maybe only Luizzi from Force India missing out on 18th. Hamilton was fastest in Q1.
Q2- I paid a little more attention here. Again.. not much drama. Ermm, maybe some under-steering? Schumacher just gets through into Q3, like in Malaysia, setting a time three hundredths of a second faster than the driver in P11, Barrichello. Hamilton is again on top in this session, with the fastest lap of the weekend so far.
Q3- I love how the commentators criticise Schumacher for doing a horrible lap while there are two drivers are slower than him, and they don't get any acknowledgment. Seriously, give him a break, his 41. Everyone trying to fuel as light as possible i.e only having enough fuel for 1 or 2 laps. Hamilton seems to have gear-shifting problems, but its more because of his driving I think. Amazing that F1 drivers have to reduce from 200miles/hr to 45miles/hr in 80 metres with deceleration 5 times the force of gravity, with can cause unconsciousness in some situations (According to my Physics textbook, acceleration larger than 5 times the force of gravity can cause someone to faint). Vettel on pole!! "Yes baby, yes baby" is the reaction from him on the radio xD Webber on 2nd, front-row Red Bull lock-out. This team, even though with its reliatibilty problems, have been superb in qualifying. They have taken pole at every race so far, Vettel with 3, Webber with 1. (After Vettel got out of his car in parc ferme, he went over to a McLaren and had a little look inside the cockpit, as if wondering "Why were you so slow?" lol) The two McLarens are naturally frustrated with the results. Here's the rest of the top 10:
3. Alonso
4. Rosberg
5. Button
6. Hamilton
7. Massa
8. Kubica
9. Schumacher
10. Sutil
Race tomorrow, will endeavour to post as it happens. And I think its going to be live tomorrow in Aus.
WOOHOO~ Seb on pole =D
