One thing I love so much about music is that it touches those raw, unhealed parts of you that you have forgotten about. It reminds you that you still have work to do, healing &strengthening them.
I feel a lot that way when I listen to music I was into last summer. I remember my dark, tormenting, bleeding angst. For a minute it all comes rushing back, as though it never left. It's scary and it feels relieving at the same time.

And if you don't have the right consciousness about it, it can leave you feeling drained. That's the part I despise.
