Had a fun weekend. Played 2 shows which went pretty well. The Churchills show was cool becuase playing there brought back some good memories...well, they were memories but maybe they weren't so good. Burnt Toast used to play there quite a bit, one time we played with this sweet band called Hudson's Falcons. Louis says this show was at the Old Miami in Detroit but I disagree. Louis and I are pretty good at disareements every now and then. That's probably why I like him.
I also, competed in my first Karate tournament on Saturday. I have been taking Tang Soo Do for a couple months to try to get in better shape while actually learning something and having a good time. It seems to be working out ok. The tournament was a pretty sweet experience. Lots of little kids and lots of Black belts. Not a lot of beginners that are my age but there was enough to compete. 6 people competed in forms. I figure I got 5th. I was one of the only adult white belts. I only fought one guy in the sparring part of the tournament. I almost won. I got the first 2 points and then got kicked in the head as time ran out which put the other guy in the lead. I got the 2nd place trophy. hehe. The guy a fought was named Patrick and he was from Switzerland. Pretty cool guy. I think I get to test for my purple bet soon. That should be fun.
