Well, what a roller coaster ride this past week has been. I had what I consider to be one of the best times of my life last week...I spent every day (except Friday) out in Owosso with Brandi. One night when the power was out over there, I broke out the guitar and serenaded the ladies of the house. We sang songs for a few hours by candlelight, and it was awesome. Throughout the week, we watched a lot of good movies ("Saved," "Down With Love," "White Oleander," and "Sweet Home Alabama," and "Walk The Line" to name a few) and had a lot of good talks. That was very touching to me, and I was on top of the world.
I was away from the band thing, because Kyle was pretty ill. That kinda bugged me, but I knew he'd be okay, he just needed a lot of rest (I think he was overworked). Music didn't stop though...I got the children's choir prepared for their debut next Sunday, and Rick and I performed at a Christmas Service out in Grand Blanc. We sang Silent Night in three styles...A cappella, with piano, and with trumpet and piano.
And then things went straight to hell. For the longest time, I'd had this sense that something just wasn't working out. I finally got to the bottom of it, albeit through a stomach-churning conversation, and I ended up single by the end of the night. And I know that it was supposed to happen...it needed to happen if things are ever going to work out...but it just really bugs me right now. Because I am still totally enamored with her, and I can't show that feeling as openly as I want to. But things always work out.
On a little more positive note, I found out that my band is playing later this month at the Lunch Studio in downtown Flint...this is definitely a step up from Kearsley High School. We get a whole 45 minutes to play also, so we actually get to do our set list this time ;-).
So yeah...this is kinda a dry entry, but those who talk to me know the whole story...if you don't, catch me sometime!
Peace be with you all...
