kill bill 1 and 2
Today was kill bill marathon day. I got home with a few people and we rented the last copy of kill bill numero uno. I thought it was alright, but something about the way in which all the blood squirted (as if out of a hose or something) made it impossible for me to take any of the movie seriously (i wasn't sure if i was supposed to or not). I did like the little anime part in the middle of the movie though, and I've seen worse movies.
By the way guys, pinapple pizza kicks ass. I had my first experience with that today also.
Anyway, after we watched the first volume of kill bill, we went to regal to check out the second one. Overall, I really wasn't impressed. For one thing, the director suddenly decided to take the movie more seriously. He tried to focus more on dialogue and plot, and took out the comically squirting blood. He also took out the anime, and a lot of the violence (boo!). The movie seemed a bit long, and the ending dragged on for a very long time. On the pro side though, there were a number of funny parts in the movie, and i enjoyed most of the movie until the end when it dragged on a bit too long. The plot remained so-so, but a lot of the cinematography was really cool.
