http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog&Mytoken=576177A8-010A-4500-90FB430E65EAEF7B32327007 My bosses and most of my coworkers take this job FAR TOO SERIOUS! IT'S A STUDENT COMPUTER LAB! There is only so much you can do to make it feel like a real job before it just becomes a joke that no one can take seriously.
When I first started here...it was free reign. But I suppose the higher ups of the school are trying to make us into a university or a state school...and that is something we just aren't. If I wanted a state school or university...I would have gone. If i wanted a conventional job with all the stress that it can bring...I would go out and get it. I've had that sort of job. I came to work for my school for convinience sake. I was told that this job wasn't about that. HA! ARE WE KIDDING!? I sit on my duff for 5 hours at a time, scanning ID's and answering stupid questions because people are lazy. I don't condone stupidity. Period. Anywho...I was asked to transfer labs by my super (who was a former lab aid), and what am I doing? This. *sigh* I can't even deal right now. This whole semester has been a joke. One of the new bosses has really started flexing her ego...and I can't stand it. we have to get up and push chairs in. I miss my old bosses...we would make people do it. We are adults here. Pushing in your chair is something you learn when you are in grade school. It's such tedious, stupid work. My boss just got up and as she did, she was like "Amaris, I want to see your name on here too". There is a sign off list for the chair pushing in task. ....ARE WE SERIOUS! She already told me I have to keep one ear bud out. For what...I have no idea. No one is talking to me...and if you want me...tap my shoulder for pete sake!
Ok...I have whined enough.
Give me turkey day pronto!
