the day had ended with the knowledge of a crash
a crash of a beloved soul
the pavement was covered with ice and snow
the destination which would be the last came flying with great velocity
withing seconds the string broke and the arms of a better place opened
the vehicle came spinning and rolling into the awaiting ditch
snow fell angry like tears from loved one's sore eyes
the cold wind blew as tear drops froze
they watched heart broken as the casket was burried six feet below
since the life was lost nothing has been the same
but memories of sunny bright days ease the pain
even though broken souls are being put back together
a piece is still missing
a piece that can never be replaced
a piece that will never be forgotten
