Holy Shit Fun Night
Tonight was the Alanis concert. SO MUCH FUN.
First I went over Angela's house around four, where her unbelievably good guitar playing dad brought us all down to the recording studio to play his Les Pauls. Yes, thats a plural right there. Emily just felt like holding it, she didnt play much lol. But after about an hour, we went back up, had some Doritos and then went to go see Alanis.
We got there pretty early, but it was cool cause it wasnt very crowded. But, after a while it did become very populated. Me and Angela bought the nude 'Au Naturale' t-shirt. No no, they aren't actually nude but the Barenaked Ladies are just surrounding Alanis staring at her while she covers her boobs and her... Yeah. Emily bought the blue Alanis t-shirt.
Then there was this opening act guy that was ok. Apparently Emily and Angela both thought that he had a cool voice, so they went to buy his cd and then go his autograph. (Hes not that good) Then afterwards we just sat there talking and it got really crowded and over time it became dark and the lights went out and then Alanis came on. Damn, she's awesome live. Everyone was screaming during her harmonica solos and it was just awesome. I cant wait to see another show of hers.
Then after her came on the Barenaked Ladies which were ok.. They're songs are very.. Jokish? They aren't very serious if you know what I mean, and they put on a good show but I just thought that once in a while they need to get a bit more serious about things. Their earlier stuff like 'Its All Been Done' and its earlier tracks like that were really good, but their newer stuff just was puh.
During the show a guy behind us was smoking pot and we could smell it -REALLY REALLY strong. It gaves us all headaches. I saw the guy smoking it and he just stared at me and I stared at him. Then even though its not possible, Angela got high off of second hand smoke for about five minutes. Sure Angela. Lol.
Then the show ended and we were wiped. Angela's dad went with us so he gave us rides there and back and I'm extremely grateful for that. Car rides there and back were soo funny with Emily and her hair and the convertable.
Tomorrow we have camp and we are going to really suck cause our voices are gone from yelling and our ears are half way deaf and our eyes are partially blind from the light. Hmm.
Anywho, Im sooo tired. I don't even know how I was able to write this much. Anyways, awesome awesome night. Something I definitely will not forget!
