So Justin and I decided to create a new holiday: Yeast Day. I know some of yeast's connotations are not the most appealing, but remember that yeast is responsible for some of the most delicious food items: beer, wine, cider, sake, cheese, bread... yeast is a wonderful and lovely thing. We haven't decided on which day our new holiday will be celebrated, but we're going to try and make from scratch one of the above-mentioned items, and then perhaps the holiday itself will be celebrated when said item is ready to be consumed.
We had an awesome day yesterday. We went up to South Norwalk, CT to visit their small aquarium and hit up The Best Thai Restaurant Ever. The aquarium and accompanying Imax movie were fun, and then we walked around the waterfront a little bit, then went into a pub to warm up a bit over beers and free happy-hour food before dinner, since the restaurant hadn't opened yet. Dinner was spicy green papaya salad, fried tofu, chicken pad thai, and spicy seared tuna wrapped in a pancake with fresh veggies sushi-style. Yum.
In other news, today I feel like crap. I think it's a combination of allergies and a cold. That's always fun. I've got class tonight, so hopefully it'll lay off a little bit. I plan to go home and head straight to bed afterwards.
