(no subject)
Things have been looking up slightly.. I don't know if it's because the semester is basically over or because things are actually getting better, but, at least for right now it looks like I'm staying at enc at least through sophomore year.. My grades were not great at all this semester and honestly, I don't think there's many places that I'd even get in if I tried to transfer now.
I started working at papa gino's as a delivery driver on monday.. and even though it's wicked confusing and I get lost all the time, I think I'll like it.
I made 6 deliveries last night and got 20 bucks in tips, so, that's not too bad. I'm working again on friday and they said that I'll probably have like 20-30 deliveries, so, hopefully that's some more money..like, lots. Cause I'm dead broke. I couldn't even buy sneakers for work, I'm borrowing them from a friend.
At work the manager Sue is kinda mean, but, not in a "i hate helen" way, but more of a "helen's the new girl and she has questions I don't have time for" kind of way, so I'm assuming once I catch on I won't be annoying to her anymore lol. I really like one of the delivery drivers named chris, he's hilarious and actually teaches me stuff..
I'm the only girl driver.. it's me, and then a bunch of guys in their 30's and 40's.. it's hilarious.. oh dear. lol.
Last night I had to deliver to a hotel room in the mariott, and the guy answered the door without a shirt on, and like, wouldn't open the door all the way.. it was awkward!!! lol. Other than that though I had to call one of the customers cause I was so lost..
and the delivery after that I knocked on 3 doors of the wrong apartment building looking for the O'Donnell's only to realize I needed to go next door and he was waiting for me in the driveway..
But surprisingly, no one got mad at me at all for getting lost or anything, they were all wicked nice about it and still tipped me really well, so, that was better than I expected.
Just a head's up to everyone, tip your drivers. They remember you.
Every time I walked into the store and there'd be a delivery I'd hear stories about whether or not that house was cheap and all.. and, you don't want a delivery person to hate you. Cause, it's pretty intense. lol.
And, they know more about you than you'd think. The guys there all know like, really random details about the houses that were regualar customers just because they're there enough to overhear things. So, just be aware. And tip well. lol ;)
