Progress report
Ok,
Last update the guitar was ready to be primed and painted....
Guitar has been primed, and had 5 or 6 coats of paint on it... then came the clear coat to protect it and.... the clear coat reacted with the paint, and it went wierd in a couple of places.... GRRR!!!!
so now the completino date has been put back by at least a week - because i've got to wait 2 days for the clear coat to fully dry, before I sand it off again and then add another few colour coats - and finally, use a different clear lacquer this time!!!
but in other good news - new guitar's hardware has cleaned up quite nicely, and the scratchplate has been painted and clear coated - and it looks fantastic!! and last night's private gig was a great success, and the band has been invited back next year!!
