I had a concert yesterday... JAZZ BAND!!! WE are AWeSoME!!!
hahaha. Jazz band is soooo much beter than all the other bands.. it's kinda sad actually. Well, why be surprised? It's only because I'm in it... hahaha. KIDDING. Sam came to it, then came to my house. It made me happy...
But now, waiting for school to be over, sitting in the media center... all my friends and everyone else have either been kicked out or left. I've never heard the media center so quiet. Becca and Robyn are walking by, Robin is dancing... they're on the batman bench now with everyone else who left. A big group of eighth graders is massing on the wooden stage, I can hear them through the windows; they're going to take an aerial photo. The clouds are white, but their undersides are dark and menacing. There's not much blue in the sky... the air is very still. No breeze whispers its way through the leaves of the many trees on campus. Patiently, I wait for the right time to pack up and leave. I look outside, my vision blurs, and loses all focus, staring at nothing in particular. A twinge in the corner of my eye lets me know that maybe, just maybe, wasting time isn't all it's ed up to be. A tear still rolls slowly and softly down my cheek, to drip silently onto my shirt. I am confused as to why my eyes are tearing up......
