it really was. I have never quite seen the sun in such a light. Brightly burnt orange hues melted into purple and lavender don't even begin to paint the picture that my Father had the ability to arrange last evening. Not only was it magnificent but as we rose up and down the highway hills it was as if we were given the exclusive right to see this beauty rise and set two equally amazing times. A beauty that these trivial yet discriptive words fall far short of capturing.
my 4th was great. Cassidy woke me with a phone call sometime around 11:30 or 12, to see if I wanted to go to lunch. We decided on MacDonald's, and the greasy burgers were great, kudos to Ronald MacDonald. Afterwards I went to the pool at the Grove with Patty D, a.k.a. dude-bro central. It was good to see her and talk for a bit , but I could only take so much croaky and Bass Pro Shops action. I left and upon arriving at my house I cranked some Underoath, status: back at center.
earlier in the day Cassidy asked if I'd like to go to Augusta with her, I was down, so we did, that afternoon. the trip was good. she has a very pleasant family, and her parents are great cooks, although I suck with names and can only remember her brothers name....he was cool too.
all in, it was just nice to get out of Milledgeville. there wasn't much conversation, but it was nice to be around someone whom I didn't have to talk to to hang out with, sorry if that sounds shallow, I meant it well. the drive to Augusta is by far one of my favorites. it is always beautiful especialy in the summer time, there is so much green to see. so much comfort in knowing the owner of said green. I was completely overcome by creation for quite a while during the trip. only stopping from time to time whenever Cassidy's cd player did... :) thanks for the trip Cassidy, it was a breath of fresh and familiar air that I hadn't tasted in some time. I'd no idea how much I needed that.
I finshed a song the other day, for the first time in quite a while. it's called " the lemming mule". it wa my last post. I wrote the guitar and lyrical content and gave it to Erik, my roomate, to write a piano solo-y bridge dealy. he knocked it out of the park. he's so good at the piano. I'm thinking about writing some more stuff with him. we'll see. either way, hopefully that song will be up on myspace soon.
I took a childish step over the edge I'm sorry if it made anything awkward. words were't used then or before so none will suffice now, but know, I don't want to harm family in anyway. you are that.
today was good I made a lot of money in tips, close to 40 bones!!!
that covers it.
amor y paz.
