Blah.
Anyway. Life is going on at a furious pace... duh.
Scott and I went out for dinner this afternoon before we both ran off to work. Bennigans. YUM
Of course, those of you out there either acquainted with Asthma, prednisone or the medical field know what being on prednisone for 9 days does to a body. (Prednisone is an oral steriod that is used for asthma, kidney problems, and various other things to give your system a boost.) It makes you fucking Hungry.
So, we went to Bennigans on my buck. Well it was more than a buck, but daaaaaaaaaamn.. it was worth it. I gots me a Paddy 'O Punch (Black Jesus knows what I'm talking about.), Scott and I shared a plate of Tater skins (lacking the bacon, of course, for the boy) then we both scarfed down a mug each of the awesomest Potato soup in the world. Then the really real meal came. I got me a 10 oz top sirloin marinated in some of the yummiest stuff ever. I gotta get me more of that! (I couldn't finish the steak after all I ate but it was good.) Mr. Lynch on the other hand got himself a Boca burger. You know, for being veggie food Boca burgers aren't all that bad!
Then we hit Half Price Books and my boyo bought me two books. Darwin's Origin of a Species and a cute little fantasy book that's called Wi'tch Storm. It's the second of a trilogy and I have the first. Interesting books so far, but we'll see.
Did I mention that I like books?
HEY AMY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHICA!
Scott also turned me on to Greg Bear and his Sci Fi books filled with fun stuff like DNA and genetic engineering. Heh.... (I'm trying to hide my huge ass grin here.) I really really really liked Blood Music. I want to know where the noocytes took everything. Go read the book if you want to know more. I was, frankly, amazed at how well the author was able to relate a lot of the scientific terminology and processes for the readers. It's not too horribly sciency in the way that people that don't know the terminology in depth will be completely lost. Maybe bored a bit, but not lost. :)
Let's see. Work is work is work... must I say more? It seems that I'm not the only one at the Green Mill that is ready to tear off heads. An uprising is coming! Bwaaahaaahaaahaaaa... *snicker*
Whatever.
Other than that, there's not much else going on in my life.
Deb, I'm gonna call you, but just out of curiousity .... do you work next Friday night? Amy and I were thinking about making a trip out to a certain part of Minnesnapolis and it just wouldn't be the same with out you.
Must go read more books now. It was a long drive after work and it'll be a long drive in the morning.
Night?!??!?!?!?!?!
boyo,
