Pissed! Argh! I have thrown my vote away! Ok, too melodramatic. Not quite thrown it away, but it's been essentially wasted!

Why? Well, I'm not registered to any party and thus get to choose during the Primary which party I'll participate in. I thought I might apply my vote with judicial strategic forethought.

I researched the crap out of the ( Read more... )

I feel the same way every time somebody votes for a Democrat, I just smack my forehead and wonder why they want to pay crippling taxes and open the borders. *LOL*

Not to argue either of those points - actually, I think both parties are bat-shit-fucking crazy. But to put it in your situation, it's like they told you they voted Democrat because they liked the guy's hair when they saw a poster on their way to the voting booth.

I hear you, I am more repubilcan(actualy libertarian)myself. unfortunately all the republicans scare me worse than Obama at the moment, way too heavy on the religious conservative side. This could be the year a strong libertarian has a shot.

I wish it wasnt picking the least bad choice......

Don't feel so bad. Zoe's dad called me out of the blue yesterday to talk about the vote. I told him I'd already voted for Obama. He asked why. I told him my reasons. He said he was leaning toward Hillary. I told him to just vote his conscience then he proceeded to talk himself out of it for reasons similar to my own. lol. So there was one less vote for Clinton. It cross-canceled your mom and made yours count.

Feel better?? ;)

Ugh....that was like the conversation that I had with my mom.
She asked what I thought about Obama being Muslin and I told her that just because that was his religion it didn't mean he was evil and then told her he was better than Clinton which she at least agreed with.

Not like it's going to make a difference she votes Republican and probably voted for the crackpot Huckabee...

Actually, he isn't. His father was born Muslim and as an adult turned atheist. His mother was Christian of some sort (her parents were non-practicing Baptists and Methodists). Barack himself eventually joined Trinity Unity Church of Christ - a branch of The United Church of Christ - a mainline Protestant Christian denomination.

I don't hold it against him. ;)

He never went to a madrasa, either. Gotta love the Fox FUD machine.

You can shoot her this article if she starts freaking out over it. =)

I called a relative out on the Obama's a closet Muslim e-mail. It's the same e-mail that a member of Hilary's campaign staff was fired for forwarding. It's also been thoroughly debunked.
