How long?!
I'm getting good at persuading myself to do stuff. When something bugs me, I do something about it... when I have the means to do so. Therefore, when I got a chance to borrow wyngdlyon's truck, I made a Home Despot run and picked up two prehung doors - one for the bedroom, one for the bathroom.
That was Monday. That night I even started tearing apart the old (lame) sliding door to the bedroom down to the rough opening. Tuesday, even though I had kung fu, I still worked at ripping off the old molding. With the odd way they constructed the old doorway I still needed to saw some to get the last bit of the old frame out of there. By Wednesday evening I had a swinging door (no doorknob). Today was my last Home Despot run for the knobs. After almost 4 years of living here, I finally have a *real* door to my bedroom! Yay!
Next up: Build up a wall and door frame for the bathroom and install that 2nd door.
But for now... off to the Blarney Stone!
