New <3: Songsmith
Anyone who knows me I'm not a fan of Microsoft. So much so that I've not had Windows installed on my desktop at home since about 2000. There are a variety of reasons for this, but I do love the research division. They come out with such cool stuff! Case in point, SongSmith.
Songsmith's an interesting product. It can take a variety of inputs, be it singing, or sheet music and it'll generate music. Maybe not the most original sounding stuff, but for practice purposes or to try out some lyrics or some such, not bad.
