Birth
Wow.
I'm on call this week, meaning when a baby is born at the hospital, I run over and help.
I saw my first birth 2 hours ago. It was so... wow. She progressed so fast! She was like 7 cm dilated, and then he was born in 1/2 hr. I stood next to her and coached her through it. It was just such a miracle. First you could see a tiny bit of his head, then more, and more, until it was out, then his whole body came! He layed on his mom's chest and nursed. He was so beautiful! A beautiful baby boy!
I think I'm still in shock. Still waiting to come down off that adreneline rush.
I don't want to reenter the real world where I have a Psych paper due tomorrow.
I can't wait to be called in again.
