My Pony Was Put To Sleep

Holly, my very first horse was put to sleep on Sunday morning. She had been colicking since Friday night I believe. They had brought her to Georgetown so they could pump her with IV fluids and try to help her out. They pulled six gallons of stuff out of her stomach put it was no use. Nothing budged and she kept getting worse and the pain got so bad. My Mum gave them the permission to put her down, since we couldn't afford the six to ten thousand dollar surgery that would only have possibly worked. The Doctors said she was so brave and was always asking to be petted and played with, like she normally did. They are pretty sure her intestines twisted, but they are performing an autopsy on her, then cremating her. She doesn't get to be buried on the farm...but we got her halter and part of her tail back. The people at the barn bought us a Holly bush since her name was Holly, we are going to plant it out at the farm, where all her friends were, at the place that was her first permanent home. This was her first colic ever thats what makes everything so bad...so weird, it's not supposed to be like that the first time, it just isn't fair. She was finally getting ready to go out and show everyone how awesome she was, and she was taken away. It's not fair, not fair at all.
