Once, I entered your dreams
So I spread my wings and flew
I soared through the skies
I bathed in the blue

Over wide fields of green
I floated in circles above
I found you in the grass
And came to you as a dove

Your eyes swelled with tears
And your sobs reached my heart
Your pain flowed through my veins
And from these veins, won’t ever part

I whispered, “please be patient”
And I flew from your sight.
I took off through your world
And your world turned to night

Then I spent my time searching
For a flower you could hold
I stayed in flight for hours
Till your night grew cold

I stopped my flight to rest
On a young looking birch
I looked from side to side
And found it from my perch

I rushed my way back
Your gift clutched so tight
As the sun rose from the east
I truly felt my plight

I returned to your field
Now sparkling with dew
What used to be beautiful
Now isn’t without you

I kept your daisy with me
As I left your wonderful dream
Now I spread my wings to find you
And give you all of me
