before you i was the dreamer
aimlessly wandering through the cement forest passing by the suit clad ants working for their corporate queen
i was the fisherman thousands of miles in every direction away from the old comforts of the deep blue sea
i was the lonely depressed writer drinking by himself waiting for his muse to come back home
i was the sioux medicine man dancing to bring back the sacred beast called buffalo
I was the starving farmer on his knees, beckoning God to send down some rain
I was once the owner of a two story house, living now next to a dumpster off main
now that i've met you, seen where your feelings lie
i am the cat under the spintered wooden porch, waiting to die
