Gods of Clearance Rain Blessings Upon Me

Oh retail jobs. Today I got paid to sing "Jessy's Girl" at the top of my lungs as Tara and I flew down route three on a quest for the magical pink stickers of clearance. Twas a good time I tell you. I also managed to get laid at work. (don't get too excited, it was haiwain day. Tara and I were the cool kids who decided to wear our garishly yellow lays in our hair instead of around our necks.
So there's this big clearence special thingy going on at sears this weekend... which means TONS OF WORK FOR JILLY BEAN! which would be actually rather exciting if I didn't always have to treasure hunt for pink tickets, those lovely little stickers that we need to actually print clearance signs. I think I know every nook and cranny of sears now, because in the past few days we have been plundering every secret stash in every possible storage room of the store. Kinda sad that this is what my life boils down to. A neverending search for clearance stickers. But it has it's rewards. Today while working in landsend, I was blessed. Litterally. I was marking down dresses when I heard a tentative, "excuse me, miss, but could you tell me if this is on clearance?" I turned to face a little old lady, arms trembling in anticipation as she held out her possible purchase: a white sweater. "Why yes it is!" I told her. "It's marked down to 24.99" (landsend is EXPENSIVE).
The little old lady clutched the sweater to her chest, "Bless you!" she cried. "Oh, bless you, child!" Hey, what can I say? God works miracles, even in retail.

Last night I got to babysit for Henry, the son of my minister, and Dr. Spero from school. Boy is that kid fast. Quite a handful, but adorable. We played 'camping' and 'throw stuffed animals around" and his personal favorite, "make funny noises" "do clay!" he'd yell, over and over and over for about 20 minutes... until I distracted him with pizza. Hes fun. I guess I'm gonna babysit again next saturday so that Ellen, Josh and Sam, their other son, can go to a redsox game. Josh got home, and told me to say hello to Ian for him... and asked how he was and everything. Kinda odd that my church life and boyfriend actually end up mixing. Ellens always telling me that she has spies at school for me, so I guess I should be used to it by now, lol. Anywho, I got to run, I am currently houssitting, and the dog, Leah, is asking for her walk
