a few questionable questions

1) What sort of detergent do you use for fleece? is anything with bleach ok, or is that too strong for the pigs?
2) How do you put an end to nasty calcium (at least, i'm assuming that's what it is) deposits in urine?
3) Have any of you ever used this product? My girls love it, but I'm holding off giving them more than one or two a month; I'm not too ( Read more... )

1) Personally I don't use bleach, firstly as I think it's a bit harsh, and secondly because I don't use it normally as I boycott all animal tested products that I can. A normal detergent is fine, and you can add a little vinegar to the wash and it will help get rid of any strong odours ( ... )

Seconding the vinegar. We buy it in bulk so we can wash the cage and get the boy stink out!

Also, off topic, but if your sink is ever clogged and you need a good, natural way to unclog it: vinegar and baking soda. It seriously works.
