Cat Scratch Fever...

Ouch ouch ouchies!

Piper Grace had to use the kitty litter, but because the dog was in the kitchen, she couldn't bring herself to jump over the gate and cross to the laundry room.

So mom and I cornered her in the dining room. Mom caught her, and then the dog, seeing Piper Grace, started barking. I said, "Mom, you go calm down the dog, I'll take Piper Grace into the laundry room."

So Mom SHOVES Piper into my arms. Piper is a very timid, nervous cat, and immediately starts clinging to my left arm and shoulder. With her claws.

I start howling, which makes it worse. I manage to get her to the gate of the laundry room (to keep Lexie out of the litter boxes), and Piper is gouging the hell out of my shoulder. She jumps down into the room and I go to tend my arm.

The back of my shoulder looks like I have poison ivy, and I have a lovely scratch on my upper arm. And I have to wear a sleeveless dress on Sunday to my cousin's graduation lunch. With spaghetti straps.

Thanks, Piper Grace.
