Well, we've kind of decided to ditch AT&T and go with T-Mobile. Now, trying to get the phones at prices that we can live with, and get all three of us phones we want. Not so easy. He kind of likes the sidekick, Crash & I both want smartphones w/touch screens but she wants both front and rear facing cameras. Me I want the Holy Grail, the HTC Sensation (Wi Fi hotspot anyone? probably not but damn the bigger screen would be SO nice).
The family plan unlimited talk, text and web for all three of us about $170 a month with his nearly a 1/3 less than what we pay now. The hitch is the phones are gonna cost us some. He can get his for under $50, and Crash has offered to pay us back for her phone that;s another $90, my phone however... well never mind. And those are Sam's prices. I just looked at Walmart, where their phones are cheaper, $9.99 and free respectively, mine not available... but the plan is $20 more.
Wonder how we are fairing so far. Most recent conversation went like this:
DH: That's it, I'm not changing shit. You all are just gonna have to be stuck with what you got.
Me: I don't have to be stuck with any damn thing. *I* can get the phone I want for FREE by just re-upping AT&T, and YOU can be stuck paying $$gazillonbucks for the next two yrs.
DH: sulky silence
Yes, I certainly realize it is going to cost us some bucks to change... but frankly my iPhone is quickly becoming obsolete, so we need to shit or get off the pot. They guy at Sams told us AT&T price the iPhone 3gs so low with new or renewed contract because they are a close out, they want to make room for a new phone. And they were sold out and were not getting any more. Although after looking at the HTC I think I really like the larger screen.
He wants a lower monthly bill, T-mobile is it, and yes then we have to buy new phones. He don't want to lay out some bucks, then suck it up and go on. Yes I know AT&T has bought out T-mobile but any changes are months away, and they would have to honor the contract for it's duration.
It's always something.
