Just who do I have to F*#k to get this surgery???
Seriously. I've never had to work this hard to get under the knife! First delay, even after I stressed to the good doctor that I would be out of the STATE from June 9-12, they still scheduled the pre-op for the 10th, for the surgery on the 15th. Then after a week of trying to reschedule I find that he is out of the office so I must reschedule the surgery as well, because there is no getting me in for the pre-op. So we set it for the following Wednesday the 22nd.
I was less than thrilled, keep in mind he keeps telling me it's 6 wks recovery (Really? That's what he said the recover was for a total knee, this is just orthoscopic out patient...) and we're cutting it close for me to return to work the first week of August.
So I had my pre-op today. I was ushered in even though many folks were there when I arrived. I'm told that she brought me in ahead of others because there is an issue. Seems the surgical center doesn't take my insurance, and they never bothered to call me! What they were thinking I have no idea, but I would have been ballistic had I arrived for surgery only to be told then.
So now we are rescheduled once again, to Monday the 27th at my local hospital. Still outpatient, I hope. last time I was supposed to be outpatient they told my hubby I wouldn't wake up and about gave him a stroke! Truth was I would wake up but couldn't stay away, I was sleepy dammit! lol Anyway I had to spend a day and another night in the Hosp.
I am not a happy camper.
At least I could still count this as my Pre-op. Unfortunately he wants my GP to clear me for surgery. *sigh* Of course he will, hell I had surgery in January (appendix) and my health is as good as ever, if not better since that surgery.
