We finally got released around 3pm. Of all those who were there to serve, not one person sat on a jury. I got called up in the first group, we actually made it to the court room and got sworn in, then we were asked to wait outside after a short bench conversation between the attornies and judge, then sent back down.

We were lucky, other groups didn't even get into the court room lol.

It amazes me the people who will sit at a computer, in a room of 50+ people, as if they are the only ones entitled to use it. What annoys me more, is the chick who sat at the computer browsing through magazines, not like there weren't oodles of empty seats, and then gets a slight "tone" in her voice when asked if she is using it, and if not could the person get on for a few minutes.

*eye roll*

Luckily those folks are in the minority.

And the best news? I got home before it started to rain. Which it is doing now, including thunder & lighting, so I'm off to defrost something for dinner.
