Victoria Laurie's ghoulishly great follow-up toWhat's a Ghoul to Do? in her new Ghost Hunter Mystery series

Northelm Boarding School on Lake Placid has the worst bully of all-a demon by the name of Hatchet Jack. M.J. Holliday, along with her partners Gilley and the handsome Dr. Steven Sable, are ready to send him back to the portal from whence he came. The school's summer construction, an uncooperative dean, and the very tempting Dr. Delicious are all trying to distract M.J. from her ghost hunting. But with a demonic disturbance as great as Hatchet Jack, she must focus and show no mercyto send him to detention for an eternity-in hell.  -- Barnesandnoble.com

The second in this series, and it keeps getting better.  I first picked up Laruie's What's A Ghoul To Do? almost a year ago and have been a fan ever since.  After readung it I dug up (begged, borrowed, and pilfered) her Abby Cooper series, Psychic Private Eye which is also very good, but this series is my favorite.  I really like the characters, and the mystery is pretty good.  In this case the mystery was excellent, well done with just enough suspense and misdirection to not have you figuring out whodunit too soon.  Bits and pieces of clues along the way give credence to the finale, with out making you wonder, "how in the world did the figure that out?" as many mysteries do.  The reveal at the end is satisfying and well written, although the author fesses up in the begining as to not having a clue as what to write, that her agent actually had to get ideas for her, however she does a stellar job with it regardless of how she got her plot.  She does such a good job I can almost forgive her only writing one book per series per year... almost.  Her next Abby book is due out in September of this year, but we will have to wait until March of 09 for the next MJ Holliday book!!!

    I've changed my mind I don't forgive her o_O
    Seriously I give this book
