Archeological Adventure!

So, those of you who know me and chat on a regular basis will know that I went off to Klibreck, in Sutherland, far in the north of scotland to dig up an old site. I was going to leave Zety, but at the last minute I took him, and here are the resultant pictures...

The first hostel we stayed in was in a place called Tongue. (no, really, it was) and it was fantastic.

Those were the view from our WINDOWS!

The first week we were really busy. Didn't get very many photo ops, but we went out for a few walks and took these shots...

Thats the north sea.

I was daft, and decided to lug Zety's arse up there to the ruins.

Although it was so worth it. Lookit the view!

....Then we moved from Tongue, to Silent Hill Betty Hill. While still pretty, the whole place was kinda...

Creepy.

Specifically, where we stayed.

We heard things at night that weren't wildlife and such like. It USED to be a school. A school where children died, probably. >..<

From left to right, Andrew, Jenn, and Erin. In our creepy room.

Orginally, I slept on the top bunk. But one day I came back from the site and my bed was like this...

I investigated...

~glances up from reading to Harry (my teddy)~ Hello Susan, good day?
Zety? Why is my bed now a fort?

Well, Harry and I reckoned that because you kept being woken by the daylight at six am, we'd do what Andrew said you should do and make a fort...

He was right, of course. I slept much better.

One thing has to be said for Betty Hill. It's got the most gorgeous beach. Zety and I spent a lot of time there.

Zety: ...

Susan. The North sea is cold. I can't feel my toes.
Dafty.

And of course, while we were on the beach, one day, that's when we found out my mum had picked up Fall. And Zety's exact expression at the time...

Perfectly, serene. So happy.

And that was our trip up north.
