[ The SFC turns on to show
Klavier, looking rather melancholy and preoccupied. There's sheets of paper scattered ALL over the room and his
guitar, slung over his shoulder, is plugged into a small amp sitting near his bed. He sighs quietly, tapping away on the body of the instrument. ]
Mm-mm-mmmm~ ♪ [ Pauses, and-- ] .... No, no no no.
(
Mostly self-musings and tl;dr. Lonely prosecutor is lonely. )
[He pauses for a moment.]
From what you've said, you're part of a band?
Reply
[ That'd be a yes, and there's a strum from his guitar. He feels like he's met this kid before, but... ]
Ja, that I am.
Reply
[Don't look at him; he doesn't know.]
I didn't think there were band members here. What's yours about?

The Gavinners, to be precise. I'm the lead vocalist for them; funny thing, really... I was taken here in the middle of a concert! Ach, can you believe that? Insane, for them to get through security like that.
Music is all of our second passions, of course--our first is the law. Everyone in my band is employed in law enforcement... myself, I rock the courtroom by day, and the stage at night.
[ And! A grin. He can do faux cheeriness, because he is Klavier, and he never stays sad for long. ] On that note... Klavier Gavin, prosecutor and rock legend, at your service. Might I ask who I'm speaking with~?

What a combination of careers! You must be very busy.
[Joshua lets him act for the time being.] Yoshiya Kiryu, but most call me Joshua. A pleasure to meet you, Klavier.

[ Hey, his acting is pretty good. Besides, if he's talking to someone, he's not being an idiot by himself. Just don't mention his name means piano, it's a horrible joke. ]
Ahahaha! I wouldn't say that. It's not work if you enjoy it. I'd much rather be searching for the truth and putting the guilty behind bars. ... So as you can imagine, this place is a nightmare from the standpoint of anyone working in law enforcement like myself.
Ach, mysteries just piling up like a mosh pit...

That's good to know. So long as you enjoy it, life is that much better. Right? [The Composer shrugs lightly.] I'm sure it has been.
And the truth nowhere in sight. Possibly buried under that mosh pit. Hopefully, we'll get a break.
[Well. Another break, anyway. The documents he received are entirely too interesting. He just needs more time to analyze them.]

[ Thoughtfully, he adds: ] Actually, it's a bit concerning: everyone I know in law enforcement seems to have disappeared.
Which I've also been looking into. These disappearances... they're something I want to solve, above everything else. The other things can wait.
Reply
...Really? Hm. Were they residents of Vatheon?
Disappearances of our own, you mean?
Reply
[ Klavier laughs, but it's... a bit more forced, less good-natured. ]
Nein. Not in the least. Which is exactly why it's so concerning. ... Only the other foreigners here count among this. Besides, we're a little lacking on a decent law system here... I asked, and they've got nothing. To say the least, that they'd expect people to treat everyone equally and that this place WOULDN'T bring in someone dangerous at some point is wishful thinking at best.

[Well.]
That's rather unsettling. I have a feeling we'll need one. Not all of us are going to be this civil, after all.

[ Inward groan. Oh, Eyes, you idiot. ]
But believe me, I've been pushing for it. I just keep losing ground on this, though.

What's going on on your front, Klavier?

As you can imagine, it really didn't. ... Although it gives me argument some credence, they still didn't see much reason to listen to me about it, unfortunate as it is. I don't think much can be done about it unless we approach them with a group of level-headed people to back that kind of idea up, ja?
They need to know it's actually rather important.

I agree with you. What has their argument been so far?
