So Gingy could be really sick. After all kinds of blood tests and two xrays coming back normal, the vet suggested we take her to Penn for an ultrasound. I don't want to do that to the poor thing. She thinks she could have some kind of lymphoma or other cancer in her GI tract, as the tests for diabetes, kidney disease, feline aids, and feline leukemia came back negative. She said it's also possible that she just has irritable bowel. She gave Ginger IV hydration, and a shot of antibiotics. We have two prescriptions for antibiotics and one for an appetite stimulant to give her. If this doesn't work, then she'll give the cat prednisone to make the cancer more tolerable. She said it's best to get the ultrasound, and then if it is cancer we can treat it with chemo. I refuse to do that to my poor cat though. Chemo is hard enough when you know exactly what's happening. So that whole thing sucks.
Anybody want to hang out tonight?
