Back home for the fourth and full of excitement... Actually its the night of the fourth and no one is around and I'm staring at a computer screen... but whats a boy to do? Its good to be home and spend time with the family. Brother has a new girlfriend, Mom has a new hip, Dad is mildly less cranky. Guff and Mom came up for Anathallo at Bryants Church. I was a bit dissappointed in the big ole band but they are still a great show. We drove home that night. I haven't seen so many furry four footers on that road since I can remember. Almost hit half of them... I was a bit dilirious and was apparantly making long sighing noises, which woke Colleen up and convinced her not to sleep ANY more. I proceeded to crank up the MASTADON and put my head out the window. I then felt considerably better. Today we layed out amongst southern Indiana's bourgeouise at ROLLING HILLS country club. I got a little burned but it felt nice. I have this weirdo fungus all over my chest and back and its weird to be soooo splotchy. I figure the sun might contribute to the death of the fungus which I imagine thrives in the moist darkness underneath my tee-shirts where it has persistently multiplied throughout my previous 2 years of winter. I plan on maximizing the exposure it gets to the sun throughout the rest of the summer and of course on into fall. A very fulfilling Mario Party occured this afternoon with Colleen, Guff, Christy (his G-friend) and me. There was much flirting... We also had a very nice BBQ which Tim Gosnell attended. That was nice. The fire works were eventful to say the least. We got down to the river about 45 minutes early and the ominous black clouds rolled in as we strolled to our prime fws observation post. They started the fire works probably 30 minutes early to beat the storm and lit frantically, aparently trying to exhaust their arms cache before the rain ruined their fun. The firing became especially frenzied as the rain began to fall. BIG raindrops and blowing winds ushered in the storm as the crowd followed the frenzy of the firemen. I swear I heard some one yelling O NO GODZIRRA, GODZIRRA has the masses began to run for their cars. It was really quite a thrill. All the commotion of the stampeding crowd, the screams of delighted adolescents, the driving rain and the birage of panicked fireworks. It was a newburgh moment to remember and I was glad I was there, however soaked and cold I happened to be. Good times, I hope, where had by all... a totally successful weekend if I do say so myself and there are no new CD orders yet so I'm not even behind at work. WONDERFUL.
