This may sound like a little like what Dera said, but yeah. When I first got Jr. I had the same problem at the start. Hell, I still sometimes stress with him and worry about how he's being viewed by anyone who watches him and his threads. Despite that, I still play him all the time and I got over the really awkward stage at the start which lasted a couple of months where I threw him out but at the same time just had this weighing sense of "oh god eyes on me". So yeah, I do know how that feels, and it can get really annoyingly stressful especially since you want to play and have fun and don't want that there hanging over you.
It sounds like despite this, you like playing him when you have him out! I think giving it a little time will help. Despite some of the comments you got in the voting post, you still got in, which I think is something to think about, and a lot of the time, uh, I dunno how to word this right, but since you don't KNOW who's apping the character, some people may be a little more critical in voting them in. Cause I know if I was critical on an app and it wound up being someone like you or the tons and tons of other fabulous players we have here, I wouldn't be worried at all. XD? But yeah, once you play more and ~get into the groove~, those kinda feelings should start to go away. At least, I know it did with me so I hope it does for you tooooo!
As for the Cat idea, I think it sounds interesting! I can't think of anything off the top of my head right now for me in regards to setting something up. But with coordination between everyone involved the idea sounds really cool. XD
The last thing I mean to do is wank over the voting crit -- sometimes people have very intense crit, sometimes people don't, and that's fine. It was just totally a combination of that and everything else that was going on at the time, srsly.
