A dozen times over. I've always thought it was broken. Every time I broke up with a girl. Every time she told me to get out of her life and told me to leave. My heart's been broken by death and loss and fights and everything that goes along with it. Every time Sam yelled at me I thought my heart was breaking.
I realize now I didn't even know I had a heart until I heard one person say those words back to me when I was certain they'd never say them, never feel them. Now they do and I realize the only time my heart will ever truly break is if they ever leave me.
