so eleemosynary read-through was monday and then we didn't have rehearsal tuesday or wednesday, so yesterday was the first rehearsal and we blocked the whole play in a little over an hour. the play is only 1.5 hrs long, but it's done arena style and the director only got the super-abstract groundplan the day before. so, needless to say, i'm impressed. the director is a senior. but he's super talented. he is now the boyfriend of my good friend, laura campbell. most of you know her. she came to joseph with me. and the last five years, which was also spectacular. except jamie was sooooooooo gay and that was annoying. at the end you didn't know if he was leaving cathy for another woman or because he was gay. he was wearing a purple turtleneck, tight jeans, and a man bag. during the schmuel song he had a tamborine. poor directing choices all over the show. but the actors were talented, so i liked it overall. anyway...i have a religion test in 45 minutes and i'm still sitting here in my robe, so i need to be productive now. peace out.
