[He sits up, brushing the books off of himself.]
A newcomer, I take it? I don't get out much. Will more precisely, I'm somewhat antisocial most of the time.
(ooc: Vergil will sense she's 'different', but he probably can't get more specific without either attacking her or digging around subtly and not so subtly for information. He's not all knowing, after all.)

[For someone descended from a insectoid demon, Vergil has an almost cat like level of curiousity.]
Vergil Sparda, a pleasure to meet you. Perhaps they don't bother you because you're less likely to get riled up? It takes a lot of energy, after all.
[A small, half smiled makes it clear he's poking a little bit of fun at her, but not seriously trying to be rude.]

And they hardly retain a perference for humans in their targets or I wouldn't keep making a fool of myself for public consumption.
[He's not about to trigger though, that would be a waste of energy, and attract more problems then he cares to deal with or disappear from. Teleporting is one thing, all out triggering is another.]

Perhaps I'm simply too curious for their liking. A trait my brother and I share, though in different ways and results.
[He starts picking the books up, carefully setting them down as opposed to the one he threw earlier. Presumably he hasn't gotten around to deciding their useless yet.]

We do, it just tends to be singularly useless in that it has a habit of denying people the kind of reading they want. One can come here looking for a good old fashioned novel and find nothing but Donald Duck comic books, or be looking for information on the town and find nothing but bodice ripper romances. I've learned to come here expecting nothing, so that I find at least a variety of literature.
[He picks up another book to start looking through it. For a second, Sloth might think his shadow looks inhuman out of the corner of her eye, a nightmare with horns and wings, but it's normal when she looks at it fully.]

Humans are simply foolish.
Because of the ghosts? Maybe I'll have to take a look myself sometime. See what I can get out of it.

All beings that are sentient, human or not... are foolish. Gods, Demons, Old Ones... they all view the worlds through differing sets of blinders. Omniscience is its own limitation. In the end, what matters is the willingness to lay down everything for one's cause, no matter how foolish it is.
[He knows that, knows Dante is stronger then him for doing so, even if it annoys him.]
Perhaps, or perhaps it's a spell, or just a quirk of the universe. I'm still poking about at it.
