Ok, so Bryanys lack of updating thing has caught onto me. It has been several months since i updated.
Well, apart from the holiday to LA which was cool at the beginning of September, not much else has happened.
Basically LA: 12 hour flights each way, hired a car, went to the getty centre, universal studios, manhatten beach, few of the other beach areas, into downtown, to the "fashion" district, ate well.
I am skint as I have had the car expenses this month (rent, ticket and certificate). Goodbye 650 quid. Then had to get the cam belt tensioner and idler wheel replaced as they were fscked and if they had seized it would have cost a fortune for a head re-build or to exchange the lump. Its got to go on a little longer yet. The kit itself was over a ton.
At the moment I'm trying to get the downstairs bog finished. Many years ago before we moved in it was artexed but not very well keyed so you only had to fart in there and a bit more fell off.
It had to come off, so I stripped it back to the plaster. This was not in the best nick and has gouge marks from getting the artex off where it had stuck in very few places. Its now covered with smoothover and its not looking too bad. It needs sanding flat as putting that stuff onto plaster (not finishing plaster) it takes the moisture out of it straight away, even if its sized with PVA in water.
Went to the New Zealand expo in Manchester last weekend to get some info about emigrating, as I would like to move out there when I can, and Vicki is keen on the idea aswell.
Work is the same old shit. I hate working in that place. One of the longest serving sales reps has been hounded out by the sales director. He was the only one who met budgets. OK, he didnt have much new business but the ones he did get were not just a flash in the pan. Stupid twat.
On the back of that one of the others resigned as he didnt want to work for such a tosser. One of the techicians in the south west is off as well. He's had enough. Looks like we are having a staff change with no one left to fill the shoes.
Things are not good.
Anyway, I'm gonna play a couple more tracks on ch00ns then I'm offski.
