I've been drawn into an argument between two friends, something I didn't want to do. But hey, life isn't fair and I can't control everything that happens to me. I just wish that it didn't have to be this way. On one side, she wants to be his friend, but not much more, and on the other, well, he wants more, and if he can't have it, he doesn't want anything. Why can't you just accept the gift of friendship and move on with your life? Is it really that heartbreaking? Are you willing to give up love because of one person that wouldn't, really couldn't, love you back? You knew that nothing would happen because she loved another, but you went into it anyway, laying it all down on the line, and now you want to lie there and not even try to pick yourself up. Life isn't all that bad, you CAN move on, and you will, even though it feels like you won't right now. There will be others, possibly many, that you will fall in and out of love with before you find the person that's right for you. So just because this one didn't work out, don't give up on love because you feel that you can't have it for whatever reason.
The only advice I can give you is to be her friend. Don't give up on the friendship she's willing to have with you. It's may not be what you want, but if it doesn't work out with this other person, then you're still there, and who knows, it might turn into something more.
Don't take this the wrong way and think that I'm trying to be mean and bring you down. That's not my intention at all. I want you to be happy, it's what you deserve. You know who you are, and you're such a GREAT person, you don't need to be unhappy.
You're talented and smart, handsome and funny, and any girl would be lucky to have you. Use what you have to your advantage. Pull some other girl close to you and you can love again. Love is a gift from God, even if you don't believe in Him, and He wants you to enjoy it, not be unhappy because of it.
So go about and be unhappy because of it for a while, but don't make it last. Distract yourself, and soon you'll find someone who is just as good, if not better, than the person before. Live life to it's fullest and that's when you'll find true happiness.
I will always be here for you if you want to talk, don't be afraid to call or write. I WANT to see you happy, and I'll do anything for you if it means you will be.
With love always,
Heather
Autumn: I love you! I hope that everything works out for you in the end. (and I know it will)
