event that just happened-
I guess some guys were making demi glace (veal stock reduced with red wine), but it looked like nappy water that might have been used to cook beans. I dump it out to make rice and there wasn't another available pot, since nobody was around to claim it, and it's a community kitchen.
the guy who's cooking the stock comes up and gets all huffy since I dumped out his stock. he gets in my face saying about how I owe them $15 for materials.
I apologize, and say that I can get some real demi glace from the school and that I do not have any cash.
the guy will not let down, so finally I just call him a joke if he thinks what he was making was demi, and that he's a dummy for not just taking stock from the school, and I tell him to grow a road.
I'm not sure what's going on, but it looks like I'll have to get some demi glace from the school tomorrow, but I don't really want to, since I won.
the new envy's really good, but not their greatest.
saw murder by death and rocky votolato on sunday and it was awesome.
and on monday I get to see loma prieta, kick back with the maudlin dudes and chris guest and ken. it'll be siqq.
and a little less than a month until I come back.
