So I am finally beginning to settle into my new place (in the building beside where I was living before). As I mentioned in my last post, here are a few pictures of the view I have:

I haven't been doing all that much since I moved in, other than the gym and just hanging around. I actually went out last weekend for the first time since
fiver00 came to visit. I actually went out on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday I went to an Irish bar called the Druid with people from work. Apparently that's one of the spots they like to go. It was nice enough, but I always find myself disappointed when compared to the music and energy you get from Halifax folk/Irish/Celtic bars. The culture just seems a bit more real there. I'm now on a mission to find a bar that play decent folk music.
On Saturday night, I went to the homo bar called "Buddies". I realized after going there that I had been there before when
nihilicious and I visited Edmonton a couple of years ago. It was OK. Kind of a mixed crowd, and I had manageed a little bit of small talk with people. In the end, it was just another gay bar, though. I need to start making some gay friends out here, so I can get a better sense of the community. Being by myself and bored all the time is getting to me just a bit. Cameron (my friend who moved from out east), is OK, but he's not the most outgoing person, so I have to do things on my own.
The weeknd is here, but I have no plans. I think I might head out to the mall or something at least. Or perhaps go to a movie this evening. I figure out something to do tomorrow.
Good weekend all.
