so, day care just up and moved Aislynn to a different room today w/o even letting me know until AFTER it happened. I am not too happy about this ( Read more... )

FILE A COMPLAINT about the day care. DELIBERATELY shutting your childs door in a hand is way out of line.

Talk to your doctor before you take the following advice. I have a pretty good handle on my own biochemistry, but there may be other factors involved in yours.

Yes, do control your anemia first (because red meat is an easy source of digestable iron). Take supplements. I'm not anemic, but my hematocrit has been too low to give blood for about a year now. Other advice I've been given is to eat lots of dark green veggies (broccolli and spinach) and to increase your vitamin C intake (preferably from fresh fruits and veggies) - peppers (hot and sweet), citrus (of course) and spinach (again) are all good sources. The Red Cross lady also suggested chocolate covered raisins.

Once your biochemistry is in check, look for free range meat, fed on organic diets. It will be more expensive, but if you're eating it less often the cost should even out.
