And, after numerous failed attempts at creating a working Data Explorer model for the Enceladus data... after fairly tearing out my hair as I shuffled between error messages, reference files, data files, piles of fortran code, and a catastrophically cross-linked network of directories on the drastically overworked machines answering to the names of dingo and kowari...
I have displayed on my screen the first OpenDX simulations of the atmospheric conditions at Enceladus that this lab has ever seen. And they are mine, all mine.
My precious.
This calls for a celebration. I am breaking out the darkwave and chocolate. I just so happen to have an unopened bar of Le Noir Extra Amer "Dark Bitter Chocolate"... 85% cacao bliss... And I can play Theatre of Tragedy at a respectable volume, too, because there's nobody else in here right now.
It really is about bloody time this project got off the ground. Well, at least I have something to stare at and obsess over now.
