austincs interviewed me. Here we go.
1. What is it, exactly, that you do? To earn money I mean.
I'm the manager at a payday loans store. We loan people with awful credit small amounts of money until their next payday at outrageous interest rates. My job consists mostly of loaning out money, and then convincing people, through various different methods, to pay it back. Essentially, I'm a loan shark.
2. If you were an action figure, what miniature plastic accesories would you come with? Could they do anything special?
Well right now, I have the best action figure sitting on my desk, aside from the classics anyway. You know, He-Man, Transformers, Mask, etc. I have J. Jonah Jameson from Spiderman, sitting at his desk. He slams his fist down, and everything shakes. Good times. That's basically what I do at work, so I'd just change him to be slightly pudgier, blond, big Weezer-style glasses - more in my image.
3. If I was interviewing you for a job interview, and I asked you what your weaknesses are, what witty remark would you use in order to cleverly dodge the question?
I'd probably make up some bullshit about how everyone claims I'm a workaholic, and that it's hard to get me to leave work, blah, blah, blah. I hate those questions. I really do.
4. Favourite videogame and why?
Seriously Austin, this just isn't fair. I mean, could you answer this? Narrow it down to one? I love the Final Fantasy series. I've played all the North American releases. The Civilization series for PC is my favourite strategy game. Super Spike Volleyball was an NES classic. Morrowind for PC is great, I'm pretty wrapped up in that right now. I love all the EA Sports games - Madden, Live, NCAA, etc. But the favourite has got to be SOCOM. 80% of my Saturday nights for the past 8 months have been spent in Trent's basement, with at least 4 of us online, running around as terrorists, shooting Navy Seals. And not for a couple hours. 6, 7, 8 hour stretches. I can honestly say I've never had so much use out of one game. Pathetic, isn't it?
5. What personal friend do you most look up to and why?
Hmmmmm. I don't know. That's tough. Of my friends, I'm probably the most successful. I could cheat, and say my dad. No? OK. I guess I'll go with Pat. He's only 25. He's married. Worked his way up the ladder at his job. Owns his house. Very down to earth. Always willing to give advice.
Thanks Austin. If anyone wants to be interviewed (though hasn't everyone by now?) let me know.
