I got invited along for dinner by Jenny's family on Saturday night. Michelle, Jenny's sister, is headed to Australia for two months today, so it was a going away thing. It felt good being the only non-family member invited. They took all 12 of us (Jenny & I, her parents, aunt and uncle, 5 brothers and sisters, and brother-in-law) to the Sawmill, where I had never been. It's pretty tasty. I had chorizo and pepper penne, which was crazy spicy. I dropped Jenny off afterwards - it was a very late dinner - and got to Trent's by 12:30, where the video gaming was still going strong. Unfortunately, I fell asleep, and didn't wake up until 4:00, in time for about an hour and a half of Socom. Good times.

Obviously I slept in late Sunday morning. Got up, slummed around, and then went out for the early Christmas shopping with Sylvia. She helped me pick out some stuff for Jenny. I got her a beautiful watch by Guess, a new hoodie, scarf, and toque from Gap, and a book about travelling in Europe, which should come in handy when she goes next September. I also decided to get Crystal, Jeff, and Jewel (Jenny's sister, brother-in-law, and niece) something while in Chapters. I ended up picking out "The Munschworks Grand Treasury", which Jewel may be a little young for, but she'll grow into it. Who doesn't love Robert Munsch?

Tonight I'm going to the Paul Brandt concert with Jenny. I'm not a big fan of mainstream country, but he doesn't bother me too much. I'm sure I'll end up dragging Jenny along to a show she really doesn't want to see eventually, so it's no big deal.
