The Cramps
No, not the band (RIP Lux Interior). After 9 months, i got my period. And i have cramps. And i am happy.
The period was induced but wouldn't have happened if i didn't still have viable eggs in my ovaries. It's called the progesterone challenge. Basically, you take progesterone for a week or so and if you bleed within 2 weeks or so afterwards it means your body is producing estrogen (which means you still have viable eggs). What my body isn't producing is progesterone. I should've guessed since Vitex had worked for me before and Vitex stimulates progesterone production. I am so glad my gyno proposed this. I also wonder if getting a higher dose and a different kind of synthetic thyroid hormone helped. Anyway, i see my endo and my gyno in a few weeks so i guess i will know what the next step is soon.
Meanwhile, i have nasty ass cold with wheeze, one of my hamsters escaped, and i am once again going to have to post-pone my trip to upstate New York. Sigh.
