Today was her birthday! Claudia--normally not one to get out of bed early unless there was a really good reason--was wide awake by nine.
She chose her outfit carefully today--a sequined sleeveless t-shirt, adorable flared jeans (painted with parrots and palm trees and a tiny, tasteful monkey), her old snake bracelet, and a tiara--and waited for her parents to call.
